It's rather amazing to see how popular fantasy has become in the last few decades. From the Victorian age onward through the 1970s, sci-fi was king in literature, movies, comics, tv, and radio. Fantasy was always a second cousin despite the popularity of The Lord of the Rings. But in the world of mmorpg games, fantasy is the undisputed king and sci-fi is a distant second.
